For much of our lives we are often shackled by fear. Most of us are afraid to try new things, afraid to meet new people, afraid of doing anything that might lead to failure and thanks to these fears we confine ourselves to a narrow alley of boredom known as the comfort zone. This comfort zone is as dangerous as the black holes of the universe. They suck in the talents and capabilities of a person and turn him/her into a brooding vegetable. People living in their comfort zones always die wandering what they could have been.
However, one single small change may help us to overcome our fears and allow us to get more out of life…the word YES. To me it is the most powerful word in the entire English vocabulary. It spreads happiness and positive energy. It helps us overcome our fears, our insecurities, mind blocks and it spurs us on towards who we actually are and actually can be.
It may sound preachy but the power of Yes can work wonders in our lives. It opens us up and frees us from various biases and pre conceived notions that hold us back from doing stuff that we really want to. For too long, the fear of failure has held us back. Failure itself doesn’t hold us back — the fear of it does. When we actually try something and fail, we should get right back up and do it again and do better the second time. We should pursue it until we succeed but often we convince ourselves that we can’t do something because we are going to fail at it, so we don’t even bother to try. Now right here we can see the power of yes. Whenever we feel fear creep upon us, all it takes is a little bit of courage…

“If you want to develop courage, then simply act courageously when it’s called for. If you do something over and over again, you develop a habit. Some people develop the habit of courage…”
We all have dreams but we all find enough excuses for not chasing them. It’s more of a matter of inertia…all it needs it’s just a push and the push comes from the word YES…
So I request all of you to say YES to enjoy the vast horizons that life has in store for us. Say YES to enjoy life….Say YES to live your life to the fullest…
